The Town of Swansea was founded in 1785 and is located in southeastern Massachusetts in the Bristol County area 47 miles south of Boston.

The town was the starting place of King Phillip's War in 1675. Today Swansea has a population of 16000 people.

Swansea has over 10 impressive and well preserved examples of Colonial houses as well as a public beach.
